Felt RXC Mountain Bike Recall

Felt Bicycles, in cooperation with the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission, is announcing a recall of Felt RXC mountain bikes.

The mountain bikes in question have an issue with the steel boss designed to hold linear-pull-style brake cables. It can detach from the frame causing the rider to lose control and fall. There have been 3 reports of the boss coming loose. No injuries have been reported. Riders with an RXC mountain bike from model year 2005 or 2006 should bring their bikes to the shop for a free inspection and repair or call Felt at 866-433-5887.

Each of the bicycles in question has an aluminum frame with carbon-fiber seatstays. Each is designed for linear-pull brakes (no disc-brake-equipped bicycles are involved in this recall). The following bikes have been included in the recall:

If you own one of these bikes, please bring it in soon, or contact us, or Felt, for more information.

Thank you!
