Great entry level bike

    Comments:

Purchased as a leftover from K&G; Bike Center in Kettering, Ohio. Outstanding customer service and they cut me a great deal on a lime green Quick5. This is my first "road" bike, this seems more geared towards an entry level / fitness rider. I love the flat bars which are comfortable. The bike has descent components and I have no complaints. A few years on my Quick5 and I will be ready to upgrade. You do get slightly cheaper components especially the wheels, and no carbon fork, however; for the price this is still a lot of bike. It is comfortable and fast enough for me.

I would have to say this is a great bike to get. if you are wanting to get into cycling. Sturdy frame, a lot of gears for those tough hills and with Cannondale name, you look like you know what your doing. :) The only downfall that I don't like on the bike which isn't a big deal is the grips on it. They tend to move while riding.

    Comments:

All my bikes have been Treks. This is my first Cannondale. Although Trek is still an excellent bike, this one is a small notch over. It's lightweight, great components, and shatters hills. I had the Trek 7.2 before this one. I'm not going to trash talk it because it was a great bike, but I just prefer this one for commuting better. My only complaint... Seat is not very comfy. Aside from that... I love it!

      Comments:

Recently my old bike got stolen, which I was quite attached to and was not looking forward to getting a new one. But my husband took me shopping for my birthday and I instantly liked this bike! Even after testing out a few others, I kept coming back to it. It rides really smoothly and handles well. It's just aggressive enough for the type of riding I do (city streets and unpaved trails). I wouldn't think it's for really hardcore riding, but I felt secure zipping around on both pavement and dirt, and it has a well-made feel to it. I'm a leggy 5'9", so I had to buy a men's large. But seeing as how I'm also kind of scrawny, I was pleased to discover that despite the size, it's nice and light and I had no trouble hauling it up and down the two flights of stairs in the shop several times. And if you had asked me last week if I would have ever seen myself buying a flourescent green bike, I probably would have laughed, but this is definitely a looker :) I'd also like to mention that the guys in this shop were super helpful and knew what they were doing!

WOW, is this really a hybrid?

        Best Uses

        Comments:

I bought this on Labor day. Figured I could use a bike to commute around the area and get a good workout. I didn't know how fast it was going to be but this thing is zippy. I'm not saying it's road bike caliber. Don't get this if that's what you're expecting. But if you're expecting something with a bit of "ooomph" and some comfort, this is the way to go. Even when I hit the biggest bumps by mistake, it doesn't feel that bad. I didn't see a huge difference between this and the carbon model fork (quick 4). I tried them both extensively, but besides the quick 4 being a little lighter, I didn't feel the difference in tires really made it a better buy. While I see people with road bikes flying by me at the park, what I don't see is many road bikes when I'm strolling through the neighborhoods. So here's my point, if you want something that's reminds you of a road bike, but was born as a hybrid, this would be the way to go.

61 year old getting back into riding again after 30 years. How bikes have improved. The shift levers right at your finger tips are great! Very safe and ease of use. This bike is a great deal for the money. Saddle could be a little more comfortable for an old guy. Get one you won't be sorry! If in Oregon go to Lakeside Bikes in L.O. great folks, no pressure sales.

Recently bought the Q5.....and its a beauty! If its your first hybrid, you'll love it hands down. Try other bikes and the Q5, you'll know. I use it for fitness mainly, and I'm trying to use it for commuting as and when I get the chance and time. Its tough considering commuting in India with the roads and traffic! But I'm telling you, this bike is a charm. Well worth the money. Excellent ride quality. I do not think you'll get a better bike for the money. Ill tell you one thing....the Q5 motivates me to ride. Period.
