2016 Felt Bicycles Nine 80

Tackle rugged terrain with ease on Felt's Nine 80 29er. With Felt's light, butted-aluminum frame, a 100mm-travel Suntour fork and tough 29-inch rims wrapped in grippy Schwalbe tires, this awesome bike flies over bumps and rocks as you zoom around the trails. A smooth Shimano/SRAM drivetrain with Suntour cranks shifts with ease, while the Tektro disc brakes serve up loads of stopping power. And, this 29er sports Felt's supportive seat and riser bars for ride-all-day comfort.

Comments:

This level in the Nine series is very much entry level. The frame is heavy and the rims are weak. I ride on trails with lots of rocks and rough spots. The disc brakes rattle constantly through rough areas. I've tried to tighten the discs and even loosen the pads but no luck. The spokes come lose during every ride and must be tightened back up before the next ride. The tires are thin and make more for a smooth dirt path rather than a rocky trail. The price point makes this bike very accessible but simply be aware as you consider it and consider the terrain you will be riding on. When the trails are smooth this bike is smooth but when things get rough it starts to rattle and come loose.

    Comments:

When I first saw this bike I was a little concerned about its size. Once I rode it however I realized it was a very smooth and well mannered ride. The handling was very predictable and overall the ride quality was that of a much more expensive bike. If you are looking for a 29er in this price range I higher recommend this one.
